  • Announcement of WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property 2021 from February 8-19, 2021

The Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur, with WIPO Academy and the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of IP Management, Nagpur (RGNIIPM) will jointly host the Online WIPO Summer School 2021, India from February 8 to 19, 2021. The Summer School program provides an opportunity to senior students and young professionals to acquire deeper knowledge of each domain of intellectual property (IP) and of the role and functions of WIPO. The program consists of lectures, case studies, simulation exercises and group discussions on selected IP topics, with an orientation towards the interface between IP and other disciplines. A certificate of participation is awarded to participants who successfully complete the program requirements.

The Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur in association with WIPO and RGNIIPM is organising the India Summer School for the third consecutive year at Nagpur. The earlier Summer Schools had participations not only from India but delegates from a number of countries namely Bangladesh, Korea, South Africa and Dubai. WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property (IP) services, policy, information and cooperation. It is a self-funding agency of the United Nations, with 193 member states. The mission of WIPO is to lead the development of a balanced and effective international IP system that enables innovation and creativity for the benefit of all.

The WIPO India Summer School can be attended by graduate and post graduate students and professionals from any field of study. The registration for 2021 WIPO India Summer School is open and the last date to apply is January 31, 2021.
