  • NLU Nagpur launches Expert Lecture Series on December 24, 2020

The Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), IPR Chair at Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur launched Expert Lecture Series on interface of Intellectual Property Rights with other Laws. The IPR Chair aims to realise the objectives of the AtmaNirbhar Bharat initiative of the Government of India. The lecture series has been conceptualised to spread the Intellectual Property Rights awareness.

The Inaugural Lecture of the Series was delivered by Dr. JupiGogoi, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, Delhi University on Human Rights in Harmony with GI. Dr. Gogoi gave an insight to the existing problems in the current GI regime which are in turn causing Human Rights Violations. She delivered her lecture by placing special emphasis on Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions and the need to protect them in this globalized world.

The expert lecture was conducted under the guidance of DPIIT-IPR Chair In-charge, Dr. Ragini P. Khubalkar and Research Assistants, ShwetaKulkarni and Srijan Mishra. The second lecture of the DPIIT-IPR Chair Expert Lecture Series on 'Trade Secrets' is scheduled on 28th December 2020.
